User Data Deletion Policy – Followra App
At Followra, we place the utmost importance on our users’ privacy and the protection of their personal data. This page explains how you can exercise your right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data from our systems.
- How to Request Data Deletion
We provide two easy ways for you to request the deletion of your account and data:
a. From within the app (fastest method):
Open the Followra app and log in to your account.
Go to Settings.
Select Account Management or Profile.
Tap on the Delete Account option.
Confirm your request. You will be logged out, and the deletion process will begin.
b. Via email (for users unable to access the app):
If you are experiencing login issues or have uninstalled the app, you can request data deletion by contacting us at:
Email: [Insert support email, e.g., support@followra.com]
Subject Line: Account Deletion Request.
Message Content: Please send the email from the same address associated with your Followra account to verify your identity, and include your username.
- What data will be deleted?
Once your request is confirmed, we will erase the following data from our servers and databases:
Authentication and login data (email, encrypted passwords).
Profile information (name, profile picture, bio).
Any content, activity, or preferences you created or saved within the app. 3. Implementation Timeline
In-app requests: Deletion is processed immediately, and your data is wiped programmatically at that very moment.
Email requests: Processing may take 3 to 7 business days to verify your identity and manually remove the data from our systems.
- Data We May Retain (Exceptions)
In very limited cases, we may retain certain essential data for legal or security reasons, such as:
Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Records for preventing future fraud or abuse.
(This retained data is encrypted and securely stored; it is never used for marketing purposes.)
Technical note for the developer: Since the app architecture relies on Firebase, ensure that the “Delete Account” button within the app does not merely delete the user from Firebase Authentication. It must also trigger a Cloud Function or a programmatic command to delete documents associated with the user’s UID from the databases (Firestore/Realtime Database) to ensure full compliance with Apple and Google policies.
